HaPPy BirthDay to ME!!!

My Birthday was on the 20th...I had a GREAT DAY. I got lots of goodies. My mom got me this beautiful Fall decorations that look FABULOUS on my Kitchen Counter.

notice to 2 small pumpkin bowls, My hubby got me the matching Big Pumpkin dishes for Sweetest Day. I'll post pics of them later.

So remember when I said I found the perfect pair of boats I lied. When they finally came in I hated them and returned them and my hubby bought me 2 pair of Oxfords. One in brown & one in black, and I love them

I know they r beautiful...he bought them online at Sears for me for only $20 a piece. I know cheap right!!! I LOVE them they r very comfortable and they look GREAT on me...lol

Anyway my hubby came home from work early and brought me La Roses for lunch. I thought it was nice I didn't have to cook or anything. And later on that evening my 3 guys took me out to diner. They took me to this new place they discovered called Culvers.
I recommend it to everyone, it is a little burger family resturant. Reminds me of a Steak n Shake. They have Great Butterburgers, and yummy Custard Strawberry Shakes.
All in all it was a Great BIRTHDAY.
My guys really know how to make me HAPPY!

The True defention of Swetest Day

What exactly is Sweetest Day? Well I have the answer to that..

The history of SWEETEST DAY dates back to 1922 when a man named Herbert Birch Kingston wanted to bring cheer to local orphans, elderly, homebound people and others, he felt may feel a little "forgotten" during other holidays. Kingston worked for a candy company in Cleveland, Ohio and started giving out candy to all the little "sweets" in the community. Following his initial efforts, local candy makers in Cleveland began to continue the tradition of giving and called it "The Sweetest Day of the Year" and distributed over 10,000 boxes of candy to over 26 Cleveland area charities their first year.
Over the years, Sweetest Day has become more of a romantic focused holiday to include more of the Valentines Day traditions of romantic dinners, greeting cards, ecards and of course chocolates and flowers. Some attribute this simply to the name of the holiday, while others feel it holds true to the original spirit of the holiday by making it the sweetest day of the year with candy.

Who are your Sweet Hearts this Sweetest Day?

I LOVE YOU ERIC, BRADEN, & BRYSON!

Eric finally convienced me to let him buy a Play Station 3 a few weeks ago. So the Friday before last, Me, him, and our boys went to Best Buy and bought most of the Rock Bands.
I know I am awlful, I just now uploaded the pics...lol
Anyways we decided to get it out and let the boys play with it with it being new and all. I hate to admit it but I LOVE IT!!! And the best part is our boys think it's the coolest thing ever. We all had a blast and I think by the looks on there faces u can tell they enjoyed it as well.

(notice the guitar pointed in the air...his daddy taught him how to do that when he gets a star bonus)

I will say that it does get a little noisey, BUT it's so worth it. Not only do they have a blast I can put get Rock Band out and clean or do what ever it is I want for hours...lol And to me that's worth a million!!!

so much for short...

So this is gonna be a short one...

things have been very crazy, hetic, scarey, out of control, and wonderful in my life here lately. So needless to say it's just been alot to handle.
My grandfather just got out of the hospital. He had several Trinity Strokes. He is doing much better and is home now.Thank you Lord Jesus!  Dureing his stay in the hospital my brother and his girlfriend had Miss Shayla, my newest niece. Which thankfully I had the time to post pics and blog about them.
Plus my dad's BIG Family reunion was in weekend of all of this. In which I am so mad at myself. We had Maggie's soccer game that morning and was already running behind and I forgot my camera. So there will be no pics to post. :0( We all had a fabulous time and it was so much fun watching all 3 of my kids do the sack race and egg toss brings back so many memories of when I was there age.

And I babysitting Monday thru Friday and by the time my babysitting kids leave and I get diner made, the boys bathed and in bed, and the kitchen cleaned I just can't find time to blog or do much of anything.
And now to top that off Wednesday, after our nap I went to pick up Hunter out of the pack n play and just as I was lifting I felt my whole body tighten. I knew I did something, but at that moment was to busy to take a moment, so I just moved onto cleaning the bathroom and made it worse. So take a big guess as to what i did??? Yes um...I pulled some muscles in my back. Last night I was in so much pain. Eric literally had to lift me off the couch a. So today I have Theragesiced (which is just a stronger Ben Gay) myself to death and ibuprofened myself and have taken it super easy and am feeling a little better. Luckly I don't have any kids for the next 3 days. I hope I can get it all better by then.
Okay I know I said short and my back is killing me again siting here and typeing this so as soon as I am at least 80% I will post some pics and write something worth reading lol

REMEMBERING THE ONES WE LOST & THE ONES STILL FIGHTING FOR OUR FREEDOM

America
we never thought this day would come
when our country was attacked
but we are still standing here today
with our pride very much intact
they tried to take it all away
they tried to knock us down
but i know they will not get to us
their victory will not be found
we have our nation to this day
and forever we will be
a country called AMERICA
a country that's IMPORTANT to me

Annual holiday devoted to the recognition of working people's contribution to society...LABOR DAY

Labor's Songs
From the mountain and the valley,
From the wayside and the glen,
From the street and from the alley,
Come the songs of working men.
Where the fire is brightly glowing,
By the furnace and the mold,
Where the lurid flame is flowing,
Labor's songs are sung and told.
Where the hammers ply the quiest,
   And the anvil's notes resound,
Where the sparks are flying thickest,
   There do labor's songs abound.
Where the husbandman is plowing,
   Throwing up the yielding soil,
And the sower busy sowing
   That which yields him bread for toil;
Where the sickle gleams so brightly,
   As the reaper strides along;
Where the gleaners follow lightly,
There they chant the labor song.
Where the ponderous wheels are rushing,
In the mill so worn and old, —
Hark ! the songs of labor gushing
As are crushed the grains of gold.
Thus, from mountain and from valley,
From the wayside and the glen,
From busy street and crowded alley,
   Come the songs of workingmen.

HAIR ANYONE?

(This is my very first blog so please bare with me as I figure this all out. lol)
Okie...dokie! So hear I go...

I had a GREAT Friday night.
Friday afternoon my hubby calls me to say that 96.5 Pure Rock radio station just announced that they were giveing away 20 pairs of Creed Concert tickets for Friday night. So I've never been to a concert and I admit the fact that they were free got me interested, lol.
Anyway he was only 15 minutes away from the Meijer that Cousin Vinny was at giveing away the tickets and he wanted to know if we could get a sitter so we could go. Of course I tell him I'll find a sitter...u get the tickets.
I was so excited. I got a sitter and  was waiting on him to call me back saying he got the tickets.
Yeah...umm well it didn't work out like that, in the 15 minutes it took Eric to get to Meijers all the tickets had been given away, but he did get free movie tickets to see the new Final Destination in 3-D.
We have never seen a 3-D movie and we had a sitter so we decided to do a date night.
Everything was in order my mom and dad had already picked up the boys, Eric and I was ready, so off we went.
We decided to go to the Rave Movie Theater which is in West Chester, so we ate at a bar and grill in that area called  Rafferty's.
I'm not sure what it is with me and Eric seems that every time we eat out noone can ever get our food order right. Or something always goes array and we always end up discusted and a meal for free. It has gotten so bad that we actually have started feeling guilty about not paying.
Anyway I guess I could tell u what happened...we went into Rafferty's. let me remind u all that this is our very first time eating here. The resturant smelt yummy, we had a beer, orderd an apptizer, things were going smoothly. So one of a very many waiters brings us our apptizer and let me just say there Big o'le Boys Fries r delicious. We order our meal which was a steak and  chicken finger plater special. We ordered our steaks well done of course! I didn't think that was to much to ask for!
So our meal comes out Eric was like where's our chicken fingers and they were like..oh u orderd chicken finges too. Hmmm...that would be why the menu read Chicken Fingers and Steak Platter.
We both should have know at that point that this meal was going to be be one of our regulars.. So while we r waiting for our chicken fingers Eric cuts into his steak it's not well done but it's ok to eat so I cut into mine and it's bleeding still. That's not gonna work for me I don't like my steak alive. So after tracking down one of our many waiters they take it back and in the mean time Eric is eating without me. Is it really to much to ask for to actually get to have a meal with ur husband. lol
So anyway I finally get my steak and our chicken fingers and at this point I'm starveing. So I cut into my steak and it's perfect and then i cut off another piece and low and behold there is an arm hair on it just stareing right at me. I am discusted and Eric is discusted and we r just done at this point. The managers only comment to me was well that's random and odd...I'm like what about discusteing????
Of course the manager covers our meal other than our beers and gives of free tickets to came back and eat another time so if anyone would like them I'd gladly give them to u. lol

We will never go back there again!!!
We left with a bill of $7 and a $3 tip for our 5 waiters to fight over...lol

So we head to our free movie...which I have to say I thought the movie wasn't very good because once u've seen one Final Destination u've seem them all, but the 3-D was awesome! I look forward to going back and seeing the new Christmas Carol in 3-D movie with Jim Carey in it with my boys, I know they will think it is the coolest thing ever.
Even though it was a crazy night I had a GREAT time with my hubby and it was wonderful haveing a whole night with no kids. And he says I am officially the cheepest date ever. The whole night only cost him $11!
